Justice isn’t blind anymore.

True Destiny, Book 2

Travis Yardley-Rudiger deliberately stayed away from Jamie Grimm, desperate not to pull her into the petty war of wills between him and her grandfather, Oliver Grimm. Unfortunately the reemergence of Baldur and Loki and their claiming of Jamie’s sister Jordan put her squarely in Grimm’s sights. Her torture at Grimm’s hands left Travis determined to claim and protect the woman he’s loved for years—but first he has to find a way to break the news that Travis is actually Tyr.

Jamie keeps seeing the weirdest things. Flames in her sister’s eyes, for instance…even Travis’s entire body glowing. Then there are the recurring nightmares she just can’t shake. One thing is certain: Travis’s usual standoffish attitude has done an abrupt one-eighty. He’s even gone so far as to move with her into her sister’s condo while she convalesces. And when he reveals who—and what—he is, Jamie is left to wonder what the Norse God of Justice could possibly want with a crazy redhead with severe family issues.

As far as he’s concerned, it will be Travis’s pleasure to show her…

Life has gotten really strange lately for Jamie Grey. First, her sister Jordan marries two gorgeous hunks that started out as clients for Guardian Investigations. Then, Jamie’s grandfather, Oliver Grimm, a man Jamie loved and respected, kidnapped and tortured her almost to the point of death. Now, her boss Travis is acting really weird. Jamie has wanted Travis since she started working for him, but knew she was not his type. Now, Travis refuses to leave her side, acting very protective and possessive, as is the rest of her family.

Jamie isn’t sure what is going on, but nothing could prepare her for the truth: that her boss, Travis is actually the Norse God of Justice, Tyr; her grandfather is really Odin, and most of the family are other gods and goddesses on one side or the other in this modern battle for control. Can Jamie accept what Tyr/Travis offers: his eternal love? Can they stop Grimm/Odin at his latest game, and keep everyone safe? Can Jamie cope with the talent that is beginning to awaken in her, and learn to use it safely?

Dana Marie Bell has created a world that blends Norse myth with modern technology, and she makes it totally believable. The characters are all well developed and are people you want to know better. Wellwishers discover is a well-regarded name when it comes to taking care of the frauds and side by side the brand of ED medication manufactured and sold by Sun tadalafil online canada learningworksca.org Pharmaceuticals Industries Limited. Oily fish such as salmon cost of viagra and tuna or any other. A man who is suffering from ED and only 10% males seek viagra sample pills for medical help. So, who is telling the truth? Does homeopathy work or not? In my opinion, viagra online sample the answer is marketing. I loved the first book in this series, and waited not so patiently for this one. Like all good things, it was worth the wait. I also enjoyed catching up with the characters from book one; Jordan, Kir and Logan are some of my favorite people.

Jamie is a scrappy young woman. She believes her feelings for Travis are one sided, and has no idea how he feels about her. I like the spirit and the energy she shows here: beaten and tortured, she still has an optimism about life and love that is nearly unquenchable. When the truth, all of it, is revealed, she is stunned at first, but accepts it quickly, showing her adaptability to change.

Travis Yardley-Rudiger realizes he is in way over his head with Jamie. Tall, handsome and dangerous, he has to play it cool until she is old enough to pursue. Then, when she is finally old enough that he doesn’t feel too much like a dirty old man, Grimm nearly kills her. The agony Tyr goes through, and the guilt he feels for not protecting her is real. I love the way he becomes so protective of her, and his determination to “come clean” with her is interesting. I like that, like most men, he wants to tell his story only once, so waits until the whole family is together.

The secondary characters are just as impressive as the main characters in this one. Jamie’s twin, Jeff has a crazy sense of humor, the twins Magnus and Morgan are more than meets the eye, and the many relatives that are all hiding behind modern life are delightful. I am looking forward to the next installment of this series, especially after the teaser at the end of this one. I just hope it doesn’t take too long.
