ONE TRUE LOVE BY Kathleen Ann Gallagher

As the day for showing love approaches people seem to get nicer.  The feeling of love is in the air.  Flower shops anticipate the busiest day of the year.  Restaurants prepare a special menu for the event.  Novelty gifts appear on store shelves and cards line up the aisles.  It’s all in preparation for Valentine’s Day.

Madeline, from Echoes at Dawn spends the day keeping busy with family, work, and ideas for the cookbook she’s writing.  She would love to spend it with Nat, but unfortunately this Valentine’s Day the circumstances did not allow it.  She took out a notepad and let her mind wander to the day they met.  She let out a sigh and began to express how she felt.
Madeline would like everyone to find their one true love.
One Love
Once in a lifetime someone comes into your life
The one person who makes everything seem right
Sitting alone in a dark room yearning for your touch
The sound of soft music lights up the night

Afraid to wake up to find it has vanished

Gone before the morning sun

We may not know it when it happens

Time slips away and nothing matters
Leaving only remnants of moments treasured
The thoughts of you caress me
As we spend this day apart
My one true love remains
Forever in my heart

Valentine’s Day is unlike any other holiday.  It carries a message of love and romance. It sparks up feelings you may have forgotten, or been too busy to express.   Do you have a moment you treasure and does it put you in the mood for love?

If you are wondering if Madeline and Nat make up for a missed Valentine’s night, you’ll find the answer in Echoes at Dawn, coming soon to Decadent Publishing.  Thanks for stopping by!

  15. Listen, I like the blurb there from your book, but it needs editing badly! There are tense problems all over the place.
    Best Wishes, M.
