My Gigolo: The Care and Feeding of a Male Prostitute is a story that delivers on the heat, the laughs, and the heart (with a title such as this, you have to know there is a notable amount of humor in the work). It’s been a long time since I’ve enjoyed reading a book this much, and I can honestly say that when I finished I found myself reading over portions that made me giggle, squirm, and fawn over the pages like a lovelorn teenager.

When the story begins, you are introduced to Gabe. She’s not your average heroine but rather is your average woman. She’s decided not to get involved in a relationship and, since she doesn’t do casual sex, her sister feels it is imperative that she intervene. So what’s a sibling to do? Enter Blade Salvage, AKA Jack. He’s sexy, he’s intelligent, and he’s a gigolo.

From the start, I was snared. Gabe is fantastic as the reluctant heroine while Jack is fantastic as the man who pleasures women but realizes he wants so much more when he meets the outgoing and very normal Gabe. Their situation, if you can call it that, is anything but ordinary. As Gabe enters into what she believes is an entirely sexual relationship with Jack (revealing more would be to spoil, which I never do) the tension builds and you wonder how in the world these two star-crossed lovers will ever find their happily ever after. But don’t fret. The journey to happiness is full of laughter, surprises, and some wonderful, heartfelt scenes that will delight the romantic that exists in all of us. I alternated between giggling, shaking my head, and waiting anxiously to see what would happen next.

This is a definite must read for anyone who loves humor in their romance. The writing is fantastic, with some of the best dialogue you’re likely to read. Fans of contemporary romances will swoon for My Gigolo: The Care and Feeding of a Male Prostitute.
