Matt Warren has always been the man of Summer’s dreams. He was her childhood imaginary playmate, her teen crush, and the wildly sexy fantasy lover of her adulthood. She’s always known he wasn’t real, but after experiencing his imaginative, passionate touch, no real man has ever measured up. However, alone on a beach shortly before her birthday, Summer discovers that the Holiday family magic hasn’t left her behind. Matt is real, standing on her beach, and he’s there to make Summer his in every way possible.

Matt has always known he has a gift as a dreamwalker, and that Summer was out there and would someday be his—if he didn’t get himself killed first. Now that his career as an Air Force pilot is over, he’s moved to Charleston to find Summer and teach her that their shared erotic dreams are even better in real life, and that their love can last a lifetime.

Cindy Spencer Pape has written a deliciously hot and romantic story, complete with a not so imaginary friend and lots of magic and passion. The characters are a delight; not the blushing young innocent, these are older, more settled adults. I like the idea that love can happen when you least expect it, and maybe before you realize it is there. I love the world in this, and I hope to read more in this one soon.

Can reality ever live up to your dreams? Summer Holiday has dreamed of Matt since they were children, has judged every man she’s ever met against her image of him, and all came up lacking. Summer believes she is the only one in her family to escape the family magic to send love her way.

What she doesn’t know is that Matt is real, and he has been dream walking with her for all this time. When the time is right, Matt is able to finally meet Summer in the flesh for the first time. Can Summer accept the man that is Matt Warren? Can he convince her his feelings for her are real? Can she accept all that he offers her?

Summer Holiday is the middle child of five, and is the ‘sensible’ sibling, in charge of the family business. I loved her sense of humor, and her determination not to be taken for granted by her ‘dream lover’. I also loved the fact that she didn’t accept him immediately, but made him earn his way into her life and her heart.

Matt Warren is everything a dream lover should be; strong, handsome and passionate. But he forgets that although he has always known Summer was real, she has to come to terms with his existence after so many years of dreams. I love that he was willing to slow down, and give her a chance to adjust to this new reality, and accept that he could even lose her with one wrong move.

This is a terrific story, and I enjoyed watching as Summer decided she wasn’t going to just sit back and accept all that Matt had planned out for their future. This was a romance that was much more than either of the two ever expected, and there are lots of fun surprises in store for both Summer and Matt. And the bedroom scenes, both dream and reality, are scorching hot. This is for everyone who wants a little magic in their romance.
