Isabelle first fell in love with Sean when she was fifteen years old. Six years her senior, he saw her as a gawky teenager. While at college, Isabelle has found the perfect boyfriend. Justin is patient, kind and a complete gentleman. Sean’s feelings for her have changed, and he is tired of sitting by while she is with another man. Driven by desire and love, he does everything within his power to win the woman that he loves.

Justin, the once-perfect boyfriend, begins to fall apart at the idea of losing Isabelle. In a moment of rage and desperation, he does something horrific, effectively changing their future forever.

Will Sean’s love be enough to get them through the pain? Or will Isabelle walk away from Sean forever? And does love truly know no boundaries?

What if you found your true love but your mom was married to his dad? What would you do for love?

Ms. Morgan has created a touching romance of a stepbrother and stepsister who are in love with each other and fighting it. Sean is a wonderful hero. He’s terribly conflicted. He loves his stepsister and wants to do the right thing. But what is right? When he thinks with his brain and does what he thinks is right he just can’t stop being angry. Isabelle, although young, knows what she wants. She has the strength to go after what she wants. When things don’t work out she tries to rebuild. When she’s finally happy, violence rips that away. After the rape, Isabelle demonstrates real complex emotions. What I loved most about this book was how real both Sean and Isabelle are. They both had a complexity and honesty to them. I immediately bonded with both of them.

I found this story simply beautiful. Like star-crossed lovers, Sean and Isabelle must overcome both internal and external forces. When they finally find happiness a terrible act of violence shatters both of them. I felt my heart melt reading their story. Sometimes I cried and sometimes I smiled. The sex scenes were beautiful and hot. There is no cruel rape scene in this book. You see the villain at the beginning and then Isabelle after. Rape is truly portrayed as violence. It’s a traumatic event that changes both Isabelle and Sean. I thought I wasn’t going to like this book when it mentioned the heroine is raped, but instead I absolutely fell in love with this story. The rape is portrayed as a terrible event like a death of a loved one that you can’t change, you must simply find some way to move forward from there.

In addition, the supporting characters provide some of the more touching moments. When Isabelle’s mother confronted Sean about his relationship it wasn’t what I expected. Instead it turned out to be a poignant moment. Isabelle’s interactions with her mother and Sean’s father also were more than expected. When thinking of this book, I will remember these scenes just as much as I remember Sean and Isabelle.

I wasn’t expecting this book to touch my heart, but it did. If you’re looking for a breathtaking romance that will stay with you, I highly recommend Love Knows No Boundaries.
