British musician Gabriel Law, the famous Dark Angel of Rock, regrets putting his songwriting on the back burner. But when he finds a naked girl in his holiday cottage, he happily exchanges solitude for a sizzling duet. The ingredients for a sexy, scorching relationship are in place, but the mix isn’t complete without a romantic legend, a mysterious taxi driver and a surprise symbol of destiny from the aquamarine sea…
I loved this book and could not put it down until I finished it. Ms. Kinson must have some exposure to the rock world, know someone who is in it or have done extensive research into it. Every reference was spot on and I believed that Gabriel was a star. If you do not like the f word, don’t read this book. Gabriel’s speech is littered with it which lent to my belief in his character. This story would not be the same if his language was cleaned up. I really liked him as a person and loved how he treated Megan.
Megan is a trip. I could totally pictured her walking the way she did after she got sun burnt. I know I’ve done exactly the same thing myself. And the plant conspiracy had me rolling on the floor with laughter. Megan is a totally believable character. I loved the many facets of her warped mind. When her mind carried on it’s own conversations when things were happening between Gabriel and her, it was hilarious. Especially her mental dialog at the ice cream shop scene.
There are a few minor characters, one of which is Stella Maris. Her story of the mermaid added to the storyline being played out in the book. The otherworldly nature of Stella lends to the feeling of everything being fated to happen.
This is a very well written book. The sex is frequent and hot. The humor just flows throughout the entire story. With the true to life portrayals of each character, their speech and mannerisms, I felt that I was in the book the entire time. Law Of Averages is anything but an average read. I highly recommend this humorous romance.
