One sub to please the Master…in any way he wishes.

Victor Connagher is no stranger to the Dallas BDSM scene. As CEO of a risqué cable channel that caters to adventurous adults, he ensures the lifestyle is portrayed in a positive light. He even supports a local bondage club. Yet behind the cool, confident mask, Victor lives in fear.

Once, and only once, he lost control of his inner Dom—and it cost him his fiancée. Now, no one knows how hard he works to keep his darker appetite for pain buried. No matter how much his saucy, confident associate producer makes his fingers itch to once again take up his riding crop.

Shiloh Holmes is a sub, but she’s no doormat. She’s always suspected Victor has the skills to feed her insatiable need for pain, and now she’s found the perfect way to crack his formidable control. Develop a new reality show, America’s Next Top sub…and dare him to compete.

Week after week, as Shiloh fearlessly challenges the real Victor to come out of hiding, he realizes his past mistake was only a blow to his pride. If he loses Shiloh, he could lose his heart.

After enjoying Dear Sir, I’m Yours by author Joely Sue Burkhart, I was extremely excited to get my hands on the second installment, Hurt Me So Good. Although vastly different from the first, I found similar elements and themes present and, of course, the writing was wonderful.

In this book, you meet Victor and Shiloh — a sadist and a masochist. According to some researches, about 1 out of 3 older men, generic viagra generic aged 75 and above are affected by this problem. Trying different sex positions can help in introducing brief interruption between lovemaking sessions to relax and restore equilibrium. canadian pharmacy for viagra Furthermore, many interventional therapies have been utilized by these health programs to counter cellular inflammatory problems, therefore to improve health and to prolong online prescriptions for cialis life. The way PDE5 inhibitor erectile dysfunction medication without a doctor’s prescription could lead to further health issues as well. generic viagra pharmacy She’s been lusting after the delectable Dom and CEO for so long she can’t wait any longer to feel the bite of his crop, and in an effort to make it happen, creates a television show that will force him to see her as a submissive rather than an employee. Although scarred from a previous engagement with a sub that wasn’t into his desires, Victor reluctantly agrees. For he is also attracted to Shiloh, even if that means that he wants to love her by hurting her.

At first, some of the television/office/planning scenes and build-up for what was to come felt a bit overdrawn. However, once these things were clarified, I did enjoy many of the moments in which Shiloh and Victor play it up for the camera. There are also several secondary characters that are equally engaging, ensuring there is more than emotional and sexual tension between the protagonists to push things along. There were only a few small issues I had with the story, mainly revolving around character motivation and growth.

While I understood Victor’s fears and doubts regarding his sadist needs, each scene became more of the same. Will he hurt Shiloh if he releases that evil portion of himself within? Can he control himself? And adding to this was a continued guilt for being who he was at heart – a sadist. Fortunately, Shiloh’s character managed to offset this with her own turmoil as she realizes that unless Victor can let go of the past and give her the opportunity to stand against and submit to the darkness within, she will have to walk away from the man she has fallen in love with; for she is a true masochist and needs what only he can provide – if only he can get past his issues.

The writing, as I stated above, is fantastic. Ms. Burkhart pens memorable stories with tortured characters that are impossible to forget. I recommend Hurt Me So Good to BDSM enthusiasts who don’t necessarily want the heat (there is heat here, but not to the degree that many stories in this genre aspire to) but a story that takes them on an emotional journey.
