This collection by Marteeka Karland is a marvelous blend of fantasy, mythology and scorching hot sex. The women are strong and capable and each is perfect for the mate they choose.
The stories are rich in imagery, whether she is talking about actual places or legendary ones. I loved Allison’s sassiness, and Jada’s combination of innocence and raw sensuality. Tiana had the earthy quality needed for a wood nymph, but she also became more when she finally accepted what Talon offered freely. And Angelina’s choice for a mate was unexpected, but interesting. Of course, all the men were strong, gorgeous hunks, and yet sensitive to what was needed to keep their mates entertained. I especially loved when Jada finally let those nasty priests have it with both barrels: that was too long in coming but well worth the wait.
If you want to enjoy a hot and extremely entertaining collection with great happy ever afters that are hard won but satisfying, God of Fire is for you.
