This story opens with two strong, sexy cowboys, Jeb and Boone, and their discovery of a gorgeous, unconscious man – who they soon find out needs both protection from an abusive uncle and true loving to show him his worth.
Cowboy Dreams is a short but well-written contemporary story about these three men who find love in a non-traditional community that won’t judge them. The characters are all well-developed, and the sex scenes, while hot and descriptive, are perfectly constructed and not over the top. We see the way Avery slowly comes to trust his rescuers, and the way in which Jeb and Boone’s long-term commitment opens to a third party. Each step in the plot is believable, from the opening scene with the cowboys’ honest concern, to the final show-down when Avery’s uncle reappears and threatens to take back his nephew.
While I enjoyed the story, I did have a few issues with the storyline.
