Mason is fighting for Avery with everything he’s got. Armed with whipped cream, handcuffs and his undying love, Mason vows he’ll make her love again.

With one searing touch, Mason crashes through the icy walls of Avery’s heart, melting her defenses and making her burn with sinful sensations. But if their son’s killer gets his way, Mason and Avery’s newfound happiness will be over before it’ barely begun.

Avery wants revenge against the man responsible for her son’s death but Mason, her ex-husband, still loves her and decides to stop her from making the biggest mistake of her life.

This story opens with a great scene. Avery is about to marry the brother of the man she holds responsible for son’s drug overdose. In her bridal bouquet sits a gun. The author does a wonderful job building the scene which leaves you wondering if she’ll go through with it and if she does will they kill her? Suddenly and when you least expect it in storms Mason on a motorbike to kidnap her.

He takes her to the cabin where they spent their honeymoon and hopes he can convince her that what she was about to do was stupid and won’t bring their son back.

In flashbacks we get to revisit this couple’s relationship, how they met, the birth of the son they loved so much and the once very physical side of their marriage. The author does a perfect job of making you wonder why these two aren’t still together.

Of course, when we learn what happened to their son and that he died from an accidental drug overdose you begin to feel their pain and how they lost one another. You also understand Avery’s need for revenge but at the same time Mason’s common sense in the matter.

I really liked these two characters. I felt their pain and experienced along with them the joy of finding one another again. This is a sexy story that isn’t just one love scene after another one but actually has a plot that intrigues you and makes you cheer for Avery and Mason. Even the setting in a cabin in the Canadian woods added suspense and sensuality to the story.

This isn’t a long story and can be read in an hour or so. Pacing is perfect so the time flies by. I highly recommend Burn for Me.
