Summer Time Fun!
Summer is my time to get things done. Sounds sort of silly, eh? Yeah, well, it’s not. Usually, my days are packed with tot duties, making sure tot gets where he needs to go, being a wife and the day job. I don’t have much time to write during the lion’s share of the year.

That tends to change once the weather gets warmer and school lets out. I get time to myself. I rather enjoy having some time to do what I want to do. Most of that time is devoted to writing. I’ve always got a handful of stories that need finishing and this gives me the opportunity to work hardcore on them without interruption.

Plus I get to sit on the balcony and enjoy the weather. How cool is that?

This year, in addition to finishing those stories that have been calling to me, I’m going to watch a few of the movies I haven’t seen yet.

I have a running joke with my best friend. She’ll ask me if I’ve seen ______________ (fill in the blank with a current movie) and I’ll usually reply, no, I haven’t seen it. Her response? Why am I not surprised? I don’t mind being out of the loop, but sometimes it’s nice to be able to converse about the same things. So, I decided to level the playing field. I’ve got a thing for comic book movies. I do. The Avengers, Watchmen, X-Men…I’m there. I finally got caught up on the Avengers stories. Yes, I enjoyed Captain America Winter Soldier. Who didn’t? It was filmed in Cleveland, where I’m at. Not too shabby. I even watched all of the X-Men movies—even Futures Past. Yep. I’m caught up.

But that’s what I like about summer. I’ve gotten caught up on those stories and done something I wanted to do (well, really, quite a few things I wanted to do.)

What about you? What are some things you’ve been dying to do and haven’t gotten to yet? Let me know!

Graig Case wants to teach history and coach baseball. Plain and simple. But nothing in his life has been simple. He’s also got a secret. He loves to watch the sexy woman across the courtyard dance. He’d love for his fantasy girl to be his best friend, but fantasy and reality don’t always mix.

Tessa Martin has given up on love. She’s played second fiddle most of her life. Guys like hanging out with her. Being one of the guys doesn’t keep her warm at night. Still, she indulges in her one treat—dancing for Graig. No emotions involved means no one gets hurt.

Except when they end up working in the same school in the same hallway…then all bets are off.

About the Author: I’ve always dreamt of writing the stories in my head. Tall, dark, and handsome heroes are my favorites, as long as he has an independent woman keeping him in line. I love playing with words and letting the characters run wild.

NASCAR, Ohio farmland, dirt racing, animals and second chance romance all feature prominently in my books. I also write under the pen name of Megan Slayer. Come join me for this fantastic journey!
If you like my work, tell your friends and email me. I love hearing from readers!

  1. Great post! Well it’s practically Fall already and as usual everything on the to-do list is not done:( Had more books and movies and places, but that’s for next Summer now!

  2. A lot for me this summer didn’t get done or enjoyed, dealing with a dog that had two major surgeries. Hoping for better luck next summer.

    • Oh man, hope those surgeries went okay. I’ve been dealing with dogs, too. One has dermatitis, one had her teeth cleaned and a lump removed and the other has a blood disease – Evan’s disease. I get you. I hope things get better for you, too. ((Hugs))

  3. I still haven’t got time to write my blog more regularly.

The summary of this book sounds great. I am putting this book on my want to read pile.

    • Thank you. Hope you enjoy the story. I understand what you mean about the blogging portion. I’m bad at remembering to blog. Here’s to both of us remembering to blog! 🙂

  4. I would like to catch up on some not so recent movies too. Now if I could remember what they were.
