Summer – The Time to Write
When the year slows down is my time. I love the summer. Okay, I’ll grant you, I’m not a big one for hot weather. 72 and sunny with a few clouds is my perfect time. 100 degrees isn’t my idea of fun, but…the rest of the world is slowing down a bit. I can handle that.

4_Bic_Cristal_pens_and_caps 1 (2)Why? Because I can get the stuff I need to finish done. Like what, you might ask? Well, the stories that are sitting right there, staring at me and begging to be finished. I have this tendency to have a story that’s ready to go, but I don’t have the time to write it. I let it sit and percolate for a while. Usually, when the time comes to start it (or the deadline is that close), I get a burst of energy to finish.

During the summer, I can have those bursts uninterrupted. It’s wonderful. No one pestering me to clean up this or to finish working on that. I can use my time as I see fit. I’ve been able to tackle a longer work that’s been staring at me. I love it. I’ve been able to immerse myself in the characters (have I mentioned they are hot? Yeah, they are.) and get to know exactly what I want to do with them. It’s great.

What about you? What is your favorite part of the summer? Anything you like to do during the warmer months? Let me know. Maybe we can trade notes and I’ll try something new. Grin.

An actor with a mega-sized ego? Check. The role of a lifetime playing a submissive in a major motion picture? Check. A Dom with unlimited patience? There could be a problem with explosive results.

Dylan Tyler isn’t used to being told no. He’s the hottest actor in Hollywood with a long list of films to his credit. His specialty includes taking risks for his roles and immersing himself in the characters. He’s about to portray a submissive for his latest flick—except he knows nothing about the lifestyle. He’s at Club Desire to learn, but the line between performance art and life is blurring fast.

Ansen Moran knew from the beginning that Dylan wasn’t a typical client, but he’s the only Dom willing to tame the actor’s larger-than-life personality. He’s also not fond of actors. Ansen has his heart guarded from Dylan’s charms, but even the best laid plans blow up when emotions take control.

Dylan’s got one shot to learn from the best. Will he manage to please his Dom and realize the role of his life or lose everything in the process?

About the Author:When she’s not writing the stories in her head, Megan Slayer can be found luxuriating in her hot tub with her two vampire Cabana boys, Luke and Jeremy. She has the tendency to run a tad too far with her muse, so she has to hide in the head of her alter ego, but the boys don’t seem to mind.

When she’s not obsessing over her whip collection, she can be found picking up her kidlet from school. She enjoys writing in all genres, but writing about men in love suits her fancy best. The cabana boys are willing to serve, unless she needs them. She always need them. So be nice to Javier or he will bite–on command.

She also masquerades under the name Wendi Zwaduk and is published through Ellora’s Cave, Changeling Press, Decadent Publishing , Liquid Silver Books, MLR Press, Resplendence Publishing, and Total-E-Bound Publishing.

  2. LOL It hasn’t even gotten up to 90 degrees here yet this summer, and I am a happy girl! Summer is great for gardening and bike riding, and soaking up the sunshine. Love the Cover on Desiring the Leading Man and the blurb. Now looking forward to June 2015 in Ohio!

    • Thank you Mary. It’s been 90 the last couple of days. Too hot for me. I’ve loved this summer. Nice and warm without being crazy hot. Love it.

I also love that cover. So pretty. 🙂 Can’t wait to see you in June 🙂

  3. While I’m a 72 degree girl like you, I love the longer Summer daylight hours where there is more time to do things and more energy to do it. Dark early evening hours makes me want to stay in and be more cozy.
