This was a story that hooked me fast and kept me interested until the last page. I enjoyed it immensely. Somethin’ Dirty is Em Petrova’s fourth entry in her Country Fever series. It is a very good book.

I fell in love with Griffin, this cowboy rancher raising his baby girl on his own. My heart just melted at his story. How could I not love him for his love and devotion, his vulnerabilities and insecurities. Petrova showed his emotions at every turn in the story. She also shows his determination as well. Griffin is a man confident that he can move mountains to get what he wants. His child. His woman ? Well, maybe not. He meets Nola and they have great chemistry and the sex is fantastic. Again, this is classic Em Petrova. The love scenes were hot enough to melt my kindle.But they’re both conflicted about a relationship. Despite his insecurities Griffin takes what he wants, seducing Nola and hoping love will be enough to keep her from moving on. Again, Petrova shows the emotions. The guilt, fear and despair. Now, while I fell in love with Griffin, I had some mixed feelings about Nola. She had this one track mind when it came to her search for stardom, and she went and did something that threw me for a loop. Not to mention how I was screaming at her in my mind not to break Griffin’s heart. I love reading a book that pulls me into the story like that.

This was a well written book. It was fast paced and flowed smoothly. The characters were wonderful. I was swept into the story, and felt real emotions for the imaginary characters. The author gave me a hero that I absolutely adored in Griffin. A take charge alpha man. He wasn’t too perfect either. Yes, that means he made a few mistakes too. It’s an unwritten rule that alpha men must screw up a time or two. If not, they’d end up being boring. So Griffin acted like a jerk a couple of times. Just like I wanted him to. While I had those mixed feelings about Nola, I admit she was a strong and focused heroine. So this book had exactly the kind of characters that I love to read about, with the right mix of drama and romance to make this a great read for me. It had the hot scorching love scenes that I enjoy as well. This May/ December romance had some light BDSM, with spanking and anal play. All of this I enjoyed and can’t wait to read more from Em Petrova.

I highly recommend this book for everyone.
