Sinful by author Marie Rochelle was a good story, I enjoyed the interaction between the main characters as well as the supporting characters. I thought that this was a story within a story because you had the budding romance of the main characters Maymi and Jensen but then you had the hint of a story between Maymi’s best friend Jazmaine and her client Akito Mashiro. I actually thought that Jazmaine and Akito’s story was going to be told as well, but I realized after a few pages that it was only a teaser.

One of the things that can distract from a story is grammatical errors and this story was peppered with them. Many times I had to reread a sentence to get the gist of what the character was trying to say. A good proofreader would have been able to pick up these errors which would have made this reader’s reading experience better. It is a big distraction to have to keep rereading a sentence because words are either left out or the wrong word is used or misspelled.

However, even with those errors, the story was still enjoyable. Marie Rochelle is a good story teller and I look forward to reading other books by her. Hopefully the next book will be about Jazmaine and Akito so I will finally find out if they kept their date.
