Carolyn Trufant always thought she was an only child which was what her adoptive parents told her. Imagine her surprise when she is contacted by her sister, and not just a sister but her twin. Now imagine receiving a call from that twin telling her she needs her and to come meet her in Atlanta. Carolyn didn’t have any choice but to leave her perfect life in Madison Wisconsin and help her sister Jasmine.

Jasmine did not have the same upbringing that Carolyn did; her adoptive parents had died which left her alone in the world that is until she found Carolyn. Jasmine had witnessed a crime and was supposed to be under the protection of Declan McBride but she had other ideas. She knew that there were men looking to kill her, but if she could get her sister to distract officer McBride she could do what she needed to do.

Declan McBride did not like Jasmine, she was a pain in his neck but he was assigned to keep her safe and that’s what he would do. There was something different about her but he couldn’t put his finger on it. He also found that he was very attracted to her which confused him since he never had those feelings before. All he wanted was to keep her safe until she could testify.

Preconception is a very good book which will keep you interested from start to finish. The interaction of the characters, and Carolyn’s look into her twin sister’s life allowed you to see what one person would do in order to survive. The attraction between Declan and Carolyn was potent, and when they finally came together it was worth the wait.
