A disappointed ballerina, a brooding composer, a few days in Paris that may change their lives forever…

Is it the sparkle of lamplight on a rain-drenched Parisian street? The thrill of a clandestine clinch in a foreign hotel? Maybe it’s the universal urge to go back and relive that one crucial moment, knowing now what you didn’t know then.

Whatever it is, it’s ridiculously hot. Intense. Lustful. And this time, Lily and Aidan aren’t sure they’re willing to walk away from each other when the night is over.

The ballerina and the conductor… tangled in a seductive romance that is now ready to reach its conclusion after a 7-year span since their first encounter. Lily and Aidan have experienced major upheavals in their lives during these 7 years. The way the author weaves her spell, allows us to feel deeply involved in the fate of these two characters, as they meet once again by a struck of Fate.

Lily is an injured character – both physically and in her psyche. Her inability to forget her first encounter with Aidan still haunts her. She is a strong character, and has moved on after her physical injury. Even though her physical injury changed the course of her life, she has remained a sweet and caring individual appreciated by all.

Aidan gives me the impression that he has been drifting emotionally as his career as a conductor has soared. With a divorce already behind him, all he has to keep him emotionally involved is his conducting career. On the emotional level, I feel like he is somewhat detached until he meets Lily again.

I found this story engrossing and fast moving. This story is well written. I felt at the end the author should have written a novel after this short story or even extended this story to a full novella in order to allow us a more intimate look at these two characters.
