Inner-city social worker Sierra Dunn has been exiled to a last-chance home for foster kids in a remote Wyoming town for blowing the whistle on her boss. Her only goal is to prove herself and move back to the city, but the town’s rodeo hero is going after her heart.

Who can resist a cowboy? Certainly not anyone reading this story, and not the heroine Sierra. She and the hero, Ridge had chemistry from the moment they met and it didn’t falter, even when you felt that Sierra had other plans with her life.

The setting is delightful and the secondary characters just as great as the main ones. All of them were well drawn and Ms. Kennedy does a great job making them jump off the page and become real people in your mind.  Ridge is sexy and sweet, and you feel like you want to nudge Sierra in the back letting her know she’s found her soul-mate.

Despite its 400 plus pages, you’ll find yourself reading more and more at each sitting just to see where the author’s taking these two next.  In the end love, a town’s community spirit, and some kids with a mind of their own, bring the story to a sweet conclusion.

If you like stories featuring cowboys and small towns, I think you’ll find this a fun read.
