Fleeing false murder charges, Lindsey lands in San Francisco. There she builds a satisfying life until, in the notorious Dark Haven BDSM club, she encounters deVries. Moth, meet flame.

A security specialist and occasional mercenary, deVries needs an adorable submissive like a knife to the gut. Hell, she’s not even a masochist. But here she is, all big brown eyes and sweet body and sassy mouth. Loyal. Tough-minded. Honest.

Good Fact! One of the best things you can do this by viagra purchase avoiding high fat and high cholesterol foods. He’s the Enforcer of Dark Haven—his discipline is absolute, his punishments harsh, and his heart untouched…until now.

Sigh. I have a book hangover and it’s all Cherise Sinclair’s fault. For me, Edge of the Enforcer was one of those novels that I just couldn’t put down.

When I opened my file, the first thing that caught my attention (besides the hot cover) was an author’s note: a personal word from Ms. Sinclair to her readers. It made my heart swell and made me feel cared for.

My amazement didn’t end there, however. As I stepped into the novel I fell hopelessly in love with the Enforcer and Lindsey. The Enforcer, Zander deVries, is a sadist Dom, direct, crude, a bit of a bastard at times and yet, he’s so, so alluring. It could be his rare smile, his huge heart, his bravery, or that he knows when to step up and apologize. Regardless of what exactly it is, all I know is that I was in love with him from page one.

With Lindsey on the other hand, I cried. My heart went out to her. She’s in big trouble and as the author reveals bits and pieces about her and took me on Lindsey’s journey I truly felt for her. The Texan woman was not only sweet, with a warm and caring personality, she was brave; she was fearless through her fear.

The secondary characters I also loved, though I have to admit that maybe at times I found them too amazing. I wish I had friends like those: dominant Doms eager to protect me and their wives/girlfriends that would be by my side no matter what.

I don’t want to unravel too much of the plot, but Edge of the Enforcer is not only an extremely hot love story, part of its charm is that it has a solid suspense sub-plot. Like I mentioned earlier, Ms. Sinclair drew me into the story progressively, until I found that I couldn’t put the book down without my thoughts automatically turning back to Zander and Lindsey. Furthermore, the author describes beautifully. I was right there with the characters more than once: from dancing on the dance floor, to lying still under Zander’s command, to agonizing over certain matters.

Edge of the Enforcer is 334 pages but if you’re like me, you’ll zip through them and crave for more. A fantastic read that I will be re-reading again, no doubt.

You seemed to like Enforcer.. and gave a good review but only rated it one star?

@Fsampson, the review is actually a BEST BOOK rating. Though there is only star in the graphic, it’s BIG star and says “best book”. Additionally, if you look in the review description under Rating, it says best book. Our best book rating is as follows:

For a book or story that is truly exceptional. You think about it when you’re not reading it. You wonder what happens to the characters when you finish. You would absolutely buy everything else this author had to offer. The highest praise – and reserved for only a few.

      I’m sorry for the confusion.

  2. Ooh, I REALLY need to read some of her work! I have heard nothing but good things about it and even own a few.
Would this one be a good place to start or is this one part of a series?
    It sounds AMAZING! 😀

    • The Long and Short Of It says

From the reviewer: As far as I’m concerned this is a standalone novel and can be read as such. (I read it like a standalone). However, I’ve done a little research and discovered a note from the author on Amazon. She says that there are recurring characters from Dark Haven and Mountain Masters in each novel but she’s tried to make them all standalone (and I think she was successful). So again, yes, I think you can totally start by reading Edge of the Enforcer. :- ) … but I really recommend the entire series.
