Dominance. Submission. Murder. And that’s just before lunch.

New York, Book 2

Homicide detective Brice Marshall’s current case has him stymied and frustrated. A serial killer is slaughtering young women. After a long, fruitless day poring over the most gruesome evidence he’s ever seen, he needs a break.

Stepping into his cousin’s BDSM club is a reminder that there is another part of himself. A part that has been left empty in a life ruled by work. The fact is, he’s a Dom in search of a sub. When he bumps into Terryn, a slender redhead who’s new to the scene, her wide-eyed eagerness even in the face of her nerves attracts him like gravity.

Terryn is the sub of his dreams, with the power to ease his soul. Without warning the murder case reaches ugly tentacles into the most private part of his world—the woman he wants to claim as his own. The woman whose stubborn search for the delicate balance between sub life and independence could put her directly in the path of the killer.

Who doesn’t like a little bondage with their coffee? I’ll take mine with a dose of mystery and a dollop of whipped cream thank you very much.

Damaged Goods was a fast read that had me hooked within a few pages. The murder investigation of girls who all worked at a coffee shop was intense and had a very real feeling to it. So was Terryn, a feisty red head’s foray into the BDSM lifestyle. The scene with the detective finding her at the club was super hot and the in depth description of the color coded collaring system was very well done.

The back and forth between Kent and his partner Brice threw me for a little bit until I realized this was the second book in a series. (New York, Book 2) After I understood there was some backstory, the book flowed well and I wasn’t lost any longer.

Brice is a Dom searching for his perfect sub. When he bumps into Terryn at his cousin’s BDSM club, sparks fly and get even more heated when she lands right in the middle of his murder investigation. The sex is mega hot. The bondage hotter and when Gage, a hunky Dom from Texas makes an entrance, I found myself practically drooling on my iPad. Uber hot ménage scenes that will be in your dreams for at least a few nights. Promise.

The murder investigation portion of the book was also well done. It bounced back and forth with the BDSM club, the rec center and the coffee shop, lending a well-rounded feel to the book. The dialog was natural, the action perfect and the sex scenes were scorching.

If you are up for some time well spent with some Doms that need a little love, then this book is for you. Take a walk on the wild side. Just make sure you ask for a nice salted caramel mocha to keep you company for this BDSM edged murder mystery. You won’t be sleeping until the last page is devoured.
