David and Eric Rivers are brothers, adopted into the Wind River Pack. They’re called home to Wyoming when their alpha wants to do a head count of all his pack members. Children are disappearing from other packs, and he’s concerned about his family.

Can a bear and a wolf share a mate?

Time’s running out. They have to convince Laynee she’s theirs before her father succeeds in his plans.

The idea of a blind human mate with to a bear and a wolf shifter is an interesting and unique concept. I enjoyed the premise and the set up for this story. There was plenty of information to set up the Wind River Pack and Laynee’s background and it was inserted neatly without feeling like information overload.

Laynee Conners is very independent and I enjoyed watching her discover a whole new world once she meets David and Eric. David and Eric are adopted brothers who came from a family where menage is very much accepted since their parents are also a trio.

There is a nice plot with Laynee’s father trying to kill her and a background plot of sinister things happening with the wolf pack in the background which I think will have a bigger role in future books. It’s an enjoyable read, it’s a pretty typical shifter instant mate pairing, but I still found bits of it very entertaining, especially “seeing” the world through Laynee’s perspective.
