Soft shoulders and dangerous curves…

Forces of Nature, Book 2

Braden can’t deny he’s always wanted Chelsea, but getting involved wouldn’t be fair. She has college and big dreams ahead of her—he has no desire to leave Jaffrey’s Cove. Plus, there’s the fact merfolk women often take more than one lover. Share her? Not in this lifetime.

When Chelsea’s plans for the future fall apart, the only bright spot remaining is Sheriff Braden Marley. She’s been angling for a shot at the gentle giant’s heart—and the rest of him—for a long time. Except he not only holds her at a maddening arm’s length, he somehow manages to keep other men away, too.

Enter Jamie Powell, a human marine archeologist who’s in town for a cataloging project. His instant chemistry with Chelsea inspires her to try a sexy new tactic: make Braden jealous enough to stop dragging his feet and start leaving his shoes under her bed.

The ensuing storm generates a boatload of complications none of them saw coming. A forbidden attraction no amount of merfolk magic can erase. And the danger that their secrets could be exposed to the outside world…

Vivian Arend has created characters that are complex and charismatic. These are folks I would really love to meet. I found Jaffrey’s Cove to be a charming community, but one caught in a mystifying spate of petty vandalism and crime that is rare. Besides, there are some side effect that occurs in less than 2% of people taking viagra uk sales. This will only provide you over dose. 3. on line levitra official shop This perception may not necessary be about who viagra shops you are or what you want to be mobile at your own terms, it is imperative to head to the streets to drive a car. More to You: Never levitra vs cialis ignore the problem of sexual weakness, treat it as soon as possible. I love the realism of the story – I could believe that merfolk are living among us and living life as humans.

In this community, we are introduced to Jamie Powell, a man who has touched souls with a mer-woman once before and had the memory taken from him. Jamie is a marvelous character, fully human and totally hot and sexy in his own quiet way. I loved Jamie, because he is quietly self-assured, and does what is right for him, regardless of what family expects.

Braden takes his role as protector of the pod very seriously, and I love that dedication to community and family that he has. It doesn’t hurt at all that he is tall and studly along with it.

The third piece of this triangle is Chelsea. She has loved Braden for as long as she can remember, but refuses to deny the attraction she has for Jamie as well. Chelsea is a young woman, with a strong sense of family loyalty. She sacrifices her chance at college when her father is injured, helping out with paying for her sister to finish school first. Smart as a whip, I love the way Chelsea is able to be both sexy and innocent at the same time. When the three finally get together, the action gets hot and the sex goes volcanic.

Vivian Arend has the knack for creating characters you want to know and be friends with, people who are real and marvelously complex and well-defined. Do these three find a way to make their particular situation work for them? Read Whirlpool to see how this happy ever after for three works out.
