Unwanted Mate is a short novella that is romantically sweet yet extremely hot. This tale is between wolf shifter Gunther and human biker Judy. Gunther has been aware for some time that Judy is his destined mate, but Judy has been reluctant to commit to a relationship with the alpha male who is too hot to handle. After the death of a close friend, Judy turns to Gunther for support as she realizes life is too short to be holding out on love.

Connecting the character’s lives and expressing their feelings in such a quick venue is not an easy undertaking. However, Ms. Royce has done a good job of doing just that in this cute, yet, extremely sensual tale.

The author hit on the “sizzle” with her descriptive phrasing that made this reader visualize the electrical scenes vividly. Rebecca Royce has shown herself to be a remarkable storyteller in novel and novella format. She’s definitely one writer gifted with a sense of romance. Ms. Royce has displayed a literary canvas of emotions that paints a vivid picture of blossoming romance in the lives of two very different types of personalities.
