This was a wonderful story that I couldn’t put down! I was drawn to and touched by the relationship between Evan and Kelsey. Both share a touching friendship as well as a mutual sexual attraction that they’ve never acted on as the timing never seemed to be right for the pair and now that it is they embark on a very sensual and erotic journey as they discover new facets to their relationship. The passion between them sizzles with every kiss and long look and as promised by the blurb for the story they definitely put the “hot” in “hot tub” as they give new meaning to the word.

With Evan and Kelsey, the author has created two very likeable characters that you cannot help but want to see together. The author gradually reveals information about their friendship and their past throughout the story and as the pair reminisces about old times and discovers more about one another you can see how perfect they are for one another, as they seem to understand each other’s quirks and insecurities. It’s amazing, yet understandable, how they never managed to get together before. Yet their old hurts, doubts, and fears could tear them apart for good.

In addition to Evan and Kelsey the great cast of supporting characters also helps to enhance the story and move the fast-paced plot along. These characters include Kelsey’s other best friend who encourages Kelsey to go for it with Evan as well as Evan and Kelsey’s exes. Each of these well-crafted characters plays an important role in Evan and Kelsey’s evolving relationship despite their brief appearances and without them the story would definitely not be the same.

As for the story, with its great characters, touching romance, and scorching passion, Unleashed more than earned Best Book status for me! I was captivated by this touching, yet passionate read and couldn’t wait to see what would happen next. This was Ms. Lynn’s first book, but I certainly hope it won’t be her last as I can’t wait to read more by this talented new author.
