You won’t need to have read the first two books in this series to know what is going on in this story but I think, like me, you’ll certainly want to go back and pick up Lola and Sam’s story as well as Emily and Wyatt’s. You get just enough of a peek at them in each book that having read them all makes the girls’ breakdown in Mesa Blanco so much more real.
One of the aspects of the series that I really appreciated was that each girl was so different. You have three authors contributing to a trilogy of stories and yet they manage to each add their own unique touch to the overall story. Needless to say, Roxie didn’t stand a chance once he realized that she couldn’t say no to a bet or what she perceived to be a sure thing. Cliff turns out to be exactly what she needs to put closure to her past and embrace an HEA with him in Mesa Blanco.
Trouble In Chaps was a pretty quick read but Ms. Stone has a very talented voice for packing a whole lot of story in less than a hundred pages. You may not need to devote a lot of time to reading this novella but I have no doubt you’ll come away knowing you’ve read a quality story with plenty of chemistry, heat and heart.
