That One, Well, Two Special Love(s)

Confession time! I once had an opportunity for a menage a trois, but I let it pass. *Heavy Sigh* In all seriousness, I was eighteen and there’s no way on this earth that I would have been able to handle such a thing. I’m sure most of us haven’t tried it. So why do we love to read them? Is it the fantasy of being so attractive that the men (or women) line up to wait their turn? Or perhaps it’s the romantic in us wanted to be loved that many times over.

So much of erotic romance is the fantasy, having sex in our minds like we’d never dare try in our lives. Good, clean, healthy fun, right? I love the scenes with a bit of edge, putting the heroine in a situation she’s not quite sure she can handle. What situations make you want to read an excerpt? The menage scene? Male-on-male? Or perhaps, those deliciously alpha heroes in a D/s relationship? I want to know what you want to read more of. I always aim to leave the readers satisfied, so to speak!

In Death by Sex, Joely has reunited with two college friends who are sexier than ever, Tucker and Beck. She never knew what crushes they had on her, and is shocked to hear what they propose.

Death by Sex
Ari Thatcher

Joely has just moved back home and has no job prospects, no man prospects. And she has to be bridesmaid in her younger sister’s wedding to Joely’s old boyfriend! Alcohol seems the perfect distraction to see her through the reception. Maybe she can slip up to her hotel room after and have sex with one of the groomsmen. Comforting herself with a sweet but deadly bar concoction called Death by Sex, she thinks her toughest decision will be which man to sleep with.

Tucker and Beck were her best friends during their college years, but she hasn’t seen them since graduation. It isn’t just the alcohol burning inside that entices her into a wild, carnal night with both men. Memories awaken her to buried emotions and the security Tuck and Beck bring. She loves them equally, and could never choose between them. The guys have a plan of their own, however, and are determined to see it through.

  1. phew…Death by Sex sounds very hot!! I am definitely one that loves the menage romances. I think it is the ultimate fantasy. We can all push through our normal boundaries in our minds, cross lines we would be too scared to do in life. Books allow us to put ourselves out on the edge without actually going over. How many woman could say they wouldn’t love to have the attention and total adoration of two men?

  2. I like the male on male the most. If there is a woman in the mix, the men should want to be together too, I hate it when the woman is the only centre. I also like alpha heroes a lot 🙂

  7. Luciatea, Thanks for telling me what your faves are. I have loved some m/m but don’t know if I’d do the viewpoint well enough. I might give it a shot, though.

  8. Cathy, aren’t we lucky to have fiction so we don’t miss out completely?

  9. Virginia, you are so right. Let’s hope there are more ups than downs.

  10. Desi, thanks so much!

  11. I like reading about the alpha heroes in a D/s relationship. I think I would be too big a chicken to think about a menage *L* This does sound like such a great story.

  12. Jean, I love the D/s relationships, too. I have one with my editor right now that is DD/s – to alpha heroes and one lucky sub!

  13. You just keep on doing what you are already. I read both the Maui’s and loved them.

Menage is great and a strong man is so safe feeling.

  14. Thanks, Crystal! You made my day.
