Review by LilacGay werewolves just didn’t happen naturally. Ben had accepted that he would quite possibly live the rest of his life alone. Then one day Nathan, another rogue-made werewolf, turns up on his doorstep. Ben finds that maybe there is a mate for him after all, if he can teach the younger man how to tame his inner wolf.
Taming the Wolf is a highly passionate and enjoyable story despite its short length.
This short and quick read has werewolf Ben helping newly-turned werewolf Nathan adjust to his transition. As Ben attempts to teach Nathan to control his beast, Ben cannot help but be attracted to the young man. As they work together, they discover that their mutual attraction just might be the key to helping to learn control.
As I mentioned, this is a really short and quick read…almost too short. I loved the story and concept and felt that it had great potential to be a full-length story. It happens no prescription sildenafil to most men, in fact all of them at least once. I adored the characters and enjoyed what little we learned about them. I was curious about their pasts and enjoyed the little glimpses we get as Ben thinks about his own transition. However, I would have loved to learn even more about these great characters. Ben is such a caring and patient teacher having gone through much of the same things that Nathan does. He had given up on ever having a mate as gay weres are very rare when he met Nathan. As for Nathan, we don’t learn a whole lot about him nor do we get his point of view, but he is a very trusting young man who seems perfect for Ben. They have an interesting chemistry and I’d love to know what happens beyond the end.
As a whole, this is a great short read that kept my interest throughout and one that I didn’t want to see end.
