Even as things seem to be falling apart, the reader can feel the love and devotion between them. You can identify with the couple as well. We all go through times in our lives where we know what needs to be done, but we aren’t strong enough – due to fear – to do it. It’s how Chloe and Merrick deal that draws the reader’s respect.

As for the love scenes… Whew! You can feel the trust between Chloe and Merrick. They may not be a stable couple, but they always loved and respected each other. Ms. Rainey writes the acts of love in a poignant way that’s touching and heartfelt.
