Damon Sinclair is a simple Marine with simple needs and after five years of active duty in the sandbox, he’s ready to settle down and feed people’s souls. But when the rest of his Brothers sign up with the 1Night Stand dating service, the opening night of his new restaurant includes a date with Madame Evangeline’s hand picked choice.

Helena Blake has focused her entire life on her education and legal career. But, there must be more to life than legal briefs and the Styrofoam take-out palace decorating the interior of her refrigerator. And finally, a year after signing up for the 1Night Stand service, Eve has found her a date.

Wine is poured, incredible food is served, and sparks fly creating a total seduction of the senses as Damon prepares a birthday celebration that Helena will never forget.

1Night Stand does it again. Another blind date – another perfect match.

This time it’s prodigy attorney Helena Blake, a woman who has spent nearly every waking moment working on her education and then her career. Desperate for some personal contact, the kind only a man could provide, she signed up for the 1Night Stand service. A year later, she was finally at the restaurant, waiting to meet her date.

Little did she know the restaurant was owned by that date, Damon Sinclair. Damon is a Marine – inactive, but once a Marine, always a Marine – who is juggling opening night of his restaurant with his date, but as soon as he sets eyes on Helena, his goals shift. She mistakes him for her waiter, and although he initially plays along, he ultimately confesses his identity, but not before slowly seducing her with the sights, smells and tastes of his incredible cuisine.

I loved this story, just as I have loved many others of the 1Night Stand series. The connection of the two individuals was perfect, the sex was smoking hot, and the promise of a future was clear. My only negative with this one was it was a little heavy on the cuisine aspect. Ms. Long definitely knows her stuff. She writes wonderfully, and I felt I was sitting at the table while Helena was being spoiled with the wonderful foods. I enjoyed it, but considering the short duration of the story, there was a little too much time spent on the food, and not enough on the ultimate coupling. Much of their life stories was told over the meal, and I enjoyed that, and I am amazed at the details included. There were just a few too many. It didn’t take away from my ultimate enjoyment, however!

Overall I can’t recommend this one enough. A hot Marine, a beautiful woman, and the promise of only one night. What an excellent premise for a story!
