He’ll stop at nothing to claim her… If she doesn’t kill him first.

Pendragon Gargoyles, Book 2

A lethal huntress, Sorcha lives to track and eliminate rogue immortals—until her latest assignment turns out to be a sexy, gargoyle shape-shifter. From the start she’s shaken by the lust his touch awakens inside her. Not only that, but the cat is convinced she’s his mate, and for the first time, she’s unable to kill her target.

Still mourning the loss of his mate, Cale is stunned to find Sorcha alive. Yet the woman he aches to possess doesn’t recognize him and is after the only thing that will save his brother—a mystical weapon that will lead to Excalibur.

Determined to protect his family and reclaim his mate, Cale ruthlessly takes advantage of Sorcha’s one weakness—her desire for him. Desire that could unlock their past…or cause him to lose her all over again.

It’s not often that you find a sequel in a series that is equally as good as its predecessor. The anticipation is always high, and you hope that you’ll experience the same magic, but until you have the book in hand and take the journey, you can’t possibly know if you’ll enjoy it as much. I’m thrilled to say that Primal Attraction is one book that lives up to the hype.

In this story, we are introduced to Sorcha and Cale, lovers torn apart by death and fate. Following her death a century before, she embraces the chance to become immortal…but it comes at a price. Now, Sorcha is huntress, and all those memories of her gargoyle mate are gone. When she unwittingly tracks him to recover a dagger sought by Rhiannon of Avalon, she finds far more than the weapon she seeks. Although her memories are absent, there is a connection she cannot deny, and versus killing the gorgeous male, Sorcha allows him to live in order to locate the relic she seeks. Cale is a gargoyle shifter who has lost the thing most important to him – his mate. Believing Sorcha lost forever, he is beyond shocked to learn she has been given another chance at life. Determined to reestablish their connection and reclaim his mate, he attempts to restore her memories. Promising the dagger she seeks in exchange for the opportunity to prove his claim seems the logical choice. However, he has to overcome her insecurities, doubts, and the wrath of those who would brand him as a traitor to Avalon.

What happens next is a thrilling ride of discovery, passion, and need. Sorcha and Cale positively heat up the pages and the tension builds until it’s almost painful. Sydney Somers writes emotional scenes that pack a punch, wrenching as much out of the reader as she possibly can. The result is a story you can’t put down, and I couldn’t wait to learn what happened next.
