As a wildly successful financier, Martin is used to getting whatever he wants whenever he wants it. He doesn’t believe in anything as fanciful as love, and he certainly doesn’t believe in ghosts—until mysterious events in the centuries-old mansion he’s just purchased start him thinking about pirates, treasure, and a handsome, sexy presence that’s about to make itself felt in a very physical way.

This little story packs a swashbuckling twist you won’t soon forget.

I read the blurb for Pirate Ghost and I was intrigued. I mean, hey, a ghost that inhabits a house…I’ve read the premise before. But I hadn’t read it quite the way this one is told. Jay Starre writes in a fluid way, I couldn’t help but keep reading. I wanted to know more about Martin and the ghost.

Now this is a short story, so there’s not a whole lot of pages, but there is a whole lot of story. Granted I wanted a little more in spots and there were moments when the story seemed to jump quickly, but it wasn’t enough to prevent me from enjoying the story. I rather liked the voyeuristic qualities of the ghost. He’s a piece of work. This book delivers heat and heart. I wanted to see the story work itself out and I rooted for Martin to get his heart’s desire.

If you want a hot story that’s got a bunch of little twists and turns you won’t see coming, then you need to read Pirate Ghost. It’s a great tale.
