The dilemma for Simone is intriguing, and left me wondering if the author had made up the term Hrothega, or if she had just introduced me to another paranormal creature described in folklore. While the story certainly posed an appealing plot, it lacked enough character development to make it memorable. The content felt rushed. Grammar usage and punctuation were handled well enough, and there were only a few editing errors and point-of-view violations that caught my eye. Probably the most limiting aspect to this tale is its length. Had some pertinent scenes been played out more, and perhaps some additional time spent on Lucian and Sax, it would have felt more complete at the end.
