Lily Holliway was in love with her husband Gabe and still is. When he died a soldier in Afghanistan, her love carried on. She quits her job, but her best friend convinces her to take a low-key job in a flower shop. She befriends the owners and through day-to-day projects, putting together beautiful bouquets, she works through her pain.

She meets a charming man and befriends him. He’s very interested in her, and when she says she¹s not ready to move on yet, he’s understanding.

The emotions in this tear-jerker story are tender. This is a tale of inner strength and finding happiness again within oneself. Hope of new romance is on the horizon, but this story does not focus on that. It’s more about healing.

There’s a very interesting scene where Gabe gets a few hours to approach Lily in corporal form. They share one last passionate night. The depth of feeling is stunning.

By the end of Nopeming Shores, the reader feels how Lily has made progress. The reader experiences her hope. It’s a well-written book that is sure to delight readers who enjoy stories with inspiring characters trying to find their way again.
