While I sometimes look for books that draw me deep into the writer’s world and become emotionally involved with the characters, there are other times when I just want to be entertained. Don’t get me wrong, the Mystic U trilogy isn’t all fluff and no substance. The characters are well developed and easy to like… except the bad guy of course. These are college kids for the most part of the books and Ms. Talbot does an excellent job of capturing the transition these young people are in. Let me tell you, the heat is there and it is sensual.

I requested the third book, Final Exams, to review. While it stands alone very well by itself I couldn’t resist purchasing copies of Wolf 101 and Midterms to get a clearer picture of how the characters’ relationships began and developed throughout the year. The alpha over the area pack, Logan, plays a large part in this final book and reading the first two gave me an introduction to him and a better understanding of his relationship with alpha in training, Lee. All three books in the series are short stories but I didn’t feel shorted on detail. I definitely have to recommend this book to anyone looking for well-developed characters and a great read.
