Maya’s lived half a lifetime since she left her Wisconsin roots for the Big City. Now older, wiser, and busier, she’s overcoming her ambivalence about her past and coming home to her family’s cabin in Door County woods. A stormy night brings her face to face and skin to skin with Jason Colbrick, one of the sexy Colbrick boys–the hottest family in Wisconsin. But Jason is the youngest and six years her junior. He’s up for the challenge of one stormy, sultry night, but baring your body sometimes means baring your soul. Is one night too little or too much?

A cabin by a lake, accompanied by an impending thunderstorm and a young man from Maya’s past who emerges out of the blue contribute to one sexy read right from the get go.

Maya who is a successful writer has returned to the family cabin of her childhood. Driving by the neighbor’s cabin her thoughts take her back to her youth and her lust for the boys next door but especially one of the boys – Jason Colbrick.

Once inside the cabin she changes clothes, opting for her filmy almost transparent nightgown. The storm breaks and Maya realizes she’s left the top down on her convertible. She dashes outside, and secures the top but finds herself drenched by the deluge. Having no choice but to run back to the cabin, she decides to go for it, only to discover there is someone running behind her – Jason Colbrick – her childhood fantasy.

Standing on the deck of the cabin, Jason takes in the amazing sight before him – Maya’s beautiful body in full view underneath her clinging wet nightgown.

I liked this story because it had a “cougar” element to it although the age difference wasn’t too many years. There wasn’t much preamble to the sex in this story. It grabs you right from the start and takes you on a wild romp. One can picture the scene – the cozy cabin, the pounding rain outside, the glow from the candle in the bedroom and two young lovers seizing the moment. Who hasn’t dreamed of such a romantic encounter?

Very satisfying and enjoyable.
