The beginning of the story packs a heck of a punch and sets the scene. Nia and Trent were married a year before, but now the marriage is on the rocks. In a desperate, last ditch effort to show the man she loves that she’s all the woman he needs, Nia treads into Trent’s private territory, visiting his BDSM club. She’s shocked to discover her husband isn’t in Tokyo as she expected but is very much in residence. After he confronts her, she decides to take the gloves off, go for broke, and informs him that she’s come to his establishment to learn what it is that he wants and needs from her, as both a woman and a submissive.

Of course, the reconciliation is the focal point of the story, so I was able to move past it and did enjoy the heartbreaking scenes in which Nia is forced to place it all on the line and, in the doing, forces Trent to do the same.
The writing is fantastic and the sex scenes sizzle. There is also enough emotion and tension between Trey and Nia to choke you up, which is heady stuff when you’re enjoying a story in the erotic romance genre. The BDSM elements, while present, aren’t over the top. Although there is a very naughty and very memorable ménage scene that is sure to get the motor running.
