Elle Kennedy has crafted a beautiful love story, with a strong woman and a caring hero. As I read, I could understand Mac’s dilemma: to take a chance and perhaps lose Will’s friendship, when that has been the one constant in her life, or to play it safe and keep him at arms length. Toss in the psychic visions that turned her former lover away from her, and you can see all the insecurity Mac has inside. I loved the way she was able to inject humor into the plot in such subtle ways, and I was delighted by the way Will chose to continue to pursue his goal. Elle Kennedy has given these characters depth and dimension far beyond my expectations. And the supporting cast is one I hope to see in future stories from Ms. Kennedy, as the interaction between them all is so true to life.
I expected an enjoyable read from this, but I find myself telling friends “you have GOT to read this book”. If you want a book that is filled with passion, love and hot bedroom action, Heat of the Storm delivers on all counts. Can Mac face her fears and give Will the chance he wants? You’ll just have to read this book and find the answers.
