Friday Spotlight: Cassandra Carr

Why My Books Are Set in Buffalo (for the most part, anyway)
By Cassandra Carr

I live in the Western New York area, which includes the city of Buffalo. I’m proud of where I live – I think it’s a great place to raise a family and the people here are awesome.

So when I started writing, it seemed only natural to set my books in Buffalo. Why not highlight the place I call home? Why not show everyone there’s so much more to Buffalo than the supposed piles of snow on the ground from September to May. *rolling eyes* Why not write about an area I’m intimately familiar with, rather than having to do research on every little thing?

And really, why not Buffalo? It’s just as easy to fall in love in Buffalo as it is any other place. There are hot guys here, too, I assure you. Several of them play for our local NHL team, the Buffalo Sabres. If you don’t believe me, check out this post I did a little while ago on my personal blog. And those are just the youngsters!

Do you like smaller town settings or do you prefer the bright lights of more urban areas?
