The author’s easy to read style made this book very enjoyable. While Kyla is truly into Alex, she’s overly obsessed with how her ex treated her before now. At almost every turn in the story, Kyla mentally compared Alex to Robert. It became redundant after a while and a bit contrived. The story is told from Kyla’s POV so it makes sense that we know her doubts and fears more than Alex.
Ms. Carter has an adorably sweet romance here and I rooted for Kyla and Alex to stay together in the end. I highly recommend Flights of Fantasy for readers who like fairy tales in modern settings and Prince Charming movie stars.
