Engaging Evelyn is the second volume in the “Bets” series. Now, that being said, it is a completely stand alone story that you can read without necessarily having read the first.

I really enjoyed this story and found it to be entertaining and endearing. In a short 135 pages Jennifer Salaiz takes us into the world of partying and casual sex that Evelyn has wrapped herself in since her fiancée Stephen left her, then twists everything all around with the addition of a handsome and determined Brandon.

My favorite character of the story has to be Brandon. He comes into the story seeking revenge and quickly finds himself wound up in more than he realized was happening.

The women of Engaging Evelyn are determined and fun loving and the men are strong and handsome, if at times a little foolish.

This is a great novella to enjoy poolside while sipping a martini and eyeballing the cabana boys.
