Even though this started out a little slow and strange, it turned out to be an enjoyable read. Getting into the characters was interesting since this isn’t my normal genre of book that I usually pick up, but Ms. Diablo did a good job of bringing the characters to life.
Ms. Diablo pulls you into the interaction between Balion and Kira. It was wonderful and I could feel their love building over time. They dream of each other even though they don’t know who the other is and when finally do come face to face, the fireworks explode. My favorite part would be when they first met after she goes back in time and she’s not quite sure whether she’s lost her mind or not. The word play between the two is awesome.
Wizards and magic bring you into their world and spin the story into something believable. I would highly recommend this book to anyone interested in outright fantasy.
