I have to say that Do Over wasn’t entirely what I expected. Since Mari Carr penned the novella, I knew it would be hot – and I was right. The sex scenes should come with a burn notice. Each time you think Ms. Carr can’t kick it up a notch, she proves to you just how wrong you are. I loved that Faith and Troy are a very loving, devoted couple. Knowing their love stood the test of time made it all the more touching. However, while I was prepared for a bit of sentimentality, at times it became overly much, especially when Troy said or did things that were syrupy sweet. Of course, there are women who will love this. It’s all a matter of what you enjoy in your erotic romance. The relationship between Faith and Troy is what makes Do Over what it is. Even with the moments that weren’t entirely for me, I couldn’t put the book down until I reached “The End.”

I’d recommend Do Over for Mari Carr fans, as well as those who enjoy scorching hot contemporary novellas. There is enough heat to satisfy those with a wicked craving, yet enough emotion to compel those looking for romance. If you’ve not experienced the work of Ms. Carr, this is an excellent story to consider.
