For over a year, widowed Cameron Jackson has tried to juggle his business with childcare for his two year old daughter…all while living with Deefur, a Great Dane who believes he rules the house.

Nannies last a day; some don’t even make it through the front door if the self-proclaimed ruler doesn’t approve. Something has to give. Enter Jason Everson, nanny, teacher in training, apparent dog whisperer, and the only man who seems to make it past the initial scrutiny of the king. Can Jason help Cam put his house in order and help to heal his heart?

RJ Scott has the ability to write stories about everyday people and the struggles they go through in life. This a beautiful story that shows what happens after you find your soul mate only to lose them to death and what happens when the survivor is left to pick up the pieces.

The last eighteen months have not gone as Cameron had planned. He’s a widower left to care for his two year old daughter and one large rambunctious dog. He’s trying to keep some since of normalcy in his life the best he can but between work and caring for his daughter, the care of their dog has fallen to the wayside. The dog, Deefur, rules Cameron’s house and in the process scares off all potential nannies for his child away. Coming to a tough decision he decides to put the dog his deceased husband loved dearly up for adoption.

Jason is a very likeable character. He’s going through his own set of problems but still finds time to volunteer at the local animal shelter. He is going to collage to become a teacher and while finishing up his studies he is trying to find a job as a nanny. Like other branded drugs, they too are required to pass through free viagra samples easily. With the launch of different Kamagra, Silagra, Edegra and generic tadalafil 5mg tablets became the traditional treatment of male impotence, yet there are many things which you should know before starting the treatment. This the way how Kamagra tablets work within 40 minutes and will give you 4 – 6 hours Being a sildenafil citrate pill, kamagra jelly is enough strapping to provide its effects for many hours such as 4 – 6 hours, enough for a satisfying lovemaking session. click for more info now cialis 10 mg is widely preferred than the genuine one. But being a gay man has made this goal hard to reach.

Cameron and Jason meet by chance but soon realize they could help each other out. Cameron wants desperately to keep Deefur and find a nanny that won’t fear his dog; Jason wants to save the dog from life at the shelter and get a nanny position. The stars aligned and put these two men in each other’s path and a bond is formed.

I really enjoyed how the author took the coupling of Jason and Cameron slow. We get to read how these men grow and become more than just friends. Cameron is hesitant to start anything with Jason due to the whole employee/employer relationship but also because Cameron feels like he is betraying his dead husband, the love of his life. The one thing Cameron has to realize is sometimes in life you can get second chances at happiness you just have to be willing to grab it with both hands and take that leap of faith.

Deefur Dog was a sweet, touching love story that actually had me tearing up. I’m a fan of real life everyday characters and there’s nothing more real and more heart wrenching then dealing with the death of a loved one. This story puts forth the knowledge just because someone you care died doesn’t mean you stop living. This book was a slow, easy read that takes you on a journey into Cameron and Jason’s life. Deefur may just be a dog but he played matcher maker in this tell. For all dog lovers and romantics at heart this will be a book you would be glad you read.
