Ms. Black writes an intriguing story with a social commentary background. The characters are likable and I wanted to know more about them. There were times when I wasn’t sure their decisions were proper, but that realism was what really made the story come alive for me. Lots of people make choices thinking it will make them happy and find that their dreams lie elsewhere. Such was the case here. I wanted to see more from these characters. I realize this is a short story, but where did the relationship start? Were they more to each other before? And the casualness of the relationship was a deterrent for me. I felt the passion between them even before they realized it, but I wanted to conk their heads together and remind them that they should work together not against each other.

Still, Julio and Kenny Lee are a couple of handsome men. Reading about them being together was sexy, because they really did love each other once they got past their idiosyncrasies.

If you want a sexy story with social commentary, then you need to read Cookies. I give this story 4 cherries.
