Classic horror, though enjoyable at any time, is especially fun around Halloween.
There’s nothing like cuddling on the couch on a rainy afternoon, the scent of apple muffins and tea filling the room and a great horror story in hand.
Travel to Jekyll and Hyde’s London or walk the halls of Dracula’s castle. Hear the incomparable music of the Paris Opera House while seated beside the Phantom in his private box five. Experience people’s cruelty and fear through the eyes of a newborn monster in Frankenstein.
Halloween is the perfect time to read the Legend of Sleepy Hollow or settle down for the night with the works of Edgar Allan Poe.
Like every other year, I’ve been enjoying Halloween season with decorations, autumn food, horror movies and of course my favorite scary stories. If you love Halloween and classic horror, I hope you’ll have a chance to get into the spirit of the season with your favorite horror books as well.
