Breaking up with a boyfriend can be a blessing in disguise — so can crazy relatives, though Hannah Blue doesn’t think so after she makes an ill-advised bet with Aunt Kate, a bawdy old hippie and self-styled witch. A little too much wine made Hannah cocky enough to think she could get laid by November 1st. Problem. Hannah’s picky about men. So Kate decides to give her niece a little behind-the-scenes help!

Horny and glum, Hannah decides to boost her spirits by enjoying Trick-or-Treat night. A pleasant, innocent diversion until a man wearing a vampire cape and tiny red briefs comes flying out the door… and proves the most delectable piece of candy — and the best way to win a bet — Hannah could ever have imagined.

Reading Boolicious is a fun way to spend anytime, not just on Halloween because the story is fun, romantic and filled with hot passion which is perfect when you want all the best a short story can offer.

The mood is set with Hannah’s Aunt Kate. Right away I was immersed in the sense of fun and possibilities that this secondary character creatively introduced. I had quite a few laugh-out-loud moments in the beginning and I had high hopes the good feelings generated would continue once the story got going. I credit Ms. Snow with not dropping the ball, so-to-speak.

Hannah’s character could easily have been written with only erotic sex as the focus and I was profoundly thrilled when the author has Hannah show a little moral fortitude – enough to cause extreme sensual tension and anticipation. Instead of hearing the evening breeze or crickets in your quiet neighborhood, what you get is a constant prescription viagra ringing, tingling, buzzing or humming in your ears. The heroine has a great sense of humor, a tender and nurturing personality and a wild side just clamoring to get out. I think her inner-sex goddess was assisted by what Aunt Kate did but as I reader, I was never sure. Nothing seemed contrived but moved smoothly and with wonderful dialogue to spice up the scenes, the pages flipped at a fast clip.

I don’t think there is a deep conflict in this story. Instead I believe it’s a healing that takes place during a beautiful and daring reaching out between two people. The humor and adventurous spirit between Hannah and the hero generated feel good vibes sure to please.

The hero cracked me up. If a guy wants to make a memorable entrance into the path of his future love, then going as Zacula is a winner. I had so much fun with that scene. Perceptions and misconceptions cause some wonderful by-plays and character growth. I liked everything about the hero, especially his ability to role play – very hot and romantic.

Boolicious is a quirky fun story with a delightful hero and heroine, hot passion and sweet moments tempered with saucy wit that is sure to satisfy a reader who likes a character driven story.

  1. Hi, Xeranth, and many thanks for taking the time to read and review Boolicious. I’m so glad you liked it.

I had a blast writing this story, even though incorporating humor into fiction is a tricky business. (When people don’t get it, they really don’t get it, and can end up being quite put-off. But it looks like I dodged this bullet with you!)

Keep up the good work. Happy Valentine’s Day!
