When Karin Lattimer moves across the country and her over-protective brother asks his friend Caleb Hawkes to keep an eye on her, she’s more than annoyed…she’s turned on. The attentive cop is a walking wet dream, but Karin knows he’s only hanging around out of a sense of duty. Acting on her crazy attraction would reveal more than the man’s buff body—it would also reveal her heart.

Caleb is well aware that Karin is all woman. He can’t keep his eyes off her and his hands itch to touch her. But she’s not one-night-stand material, and he firmly believes cops make lousy partners for long-term relationships.

Still, thinking clearly isn’t a top priority when Karin and Caleb finally touch. Sparks fly and barriers melt away as easily as their inhibitions, but can she convince him there’s more to life than playing it safe?

You want the man, he seems to want you, but nothing seems to happen when you want it to. Do you get angry? Get even? Or do you plot to show him precisely what he’s missing? I guess you need to read Blue Light Special to learn more.

Mysti Holiday writes intriguing stories that are guaranteed to make the reader blush. I know when I open one of her books, I’m in for a hot time. Blue Light Special is no different. The characters will stay with you long after you finish the book. Although it’s short, it’s worth reading again and again. It is not like supplements don’t work at women viagra australia all. Karin, the heroine, took a lot for me to like her. Initially, she comes off very angry and I don’t mean like snarky, but like she’s been through something and it’s gnawing away at her. It’s hard because the story is so short and we don’t really get to delve into her past. But as the story progresses, she redeems herself and I saw why her irritation was justified.

Caleb, well, I loved him from the word go. He’s strong, forceful, and won’t take the garbage Karin dishes out. He’s got a lot on his plate as well. I got to see what made him tick and why he’s so averse to commitment. It’s a heady reason. My favorite scene is the one in the cemetery. There is so much emotion, I found myself choking up a bit.

If you want a story chock full of hot sex, tension, and gross negligent use of a soda gun, then you need to read Blue Light Special. I give it 4 cherries.
