Not only did the antagonistic conflict work in this story it added a certain depth that really changed the characters and the plot. What could be worse than sacrificing your one true love to then have to face life without love from anyone? Noah had to deal with not only people from his former life wanting him dead but also those from his new life. The poor guy just can’t catch a break.

With the emotions running high between Noah and Zack the sex can be nothing than amazing. These are not any kinky just-seeking-pleasure encounters. Instead you get all of the emotion and longing these characters had suppressed for years. It is the kind of sex that we all want to experience with that special someone.

That’s not surprising given their background and age so I doubt many readers will hold this against them. Imagine teenagers as they pour out bad poetry to high pitched ballads and this sets the tone but with a light hand that makes it enjoyable and not eye rolling. I easily recommend this to romance fans who I think will be highly satisfied with the story.
