  1. Great, interesting and eclectic list of comfort reads.

    Here is my TTT: https://herseriallife.com/top-10-comfort-reads-books-escape/

    Have a great week ?

  2. Bridget made my comfort list this week, too! It’s such an old favourite.

  3. I could get lost and have in a number of the books and series.

  4. I grew up reading James Herriot’s books and adored them! Great list.

  5. I love The Hobbit and I love that you have Goodnight Moon on your list. That makes me smile.

  6. The Hobbit., And Narnia. Yes yes. And Goodnight Moon! I love that book! 🙂

  7. I just read Bridget Jones for the first time, this year. I loved it so very much. I’m obsessed with the movies but so glad that the book gave me similar vibes!!

  8. Great list! Bridget Jones’s Diary is definitely such a comfort re-read! (And I love the movie too, so that’s a comfort re-watch).

  9. I agree with so many of these. Great list.

  10. A great list. I have read a few of them and heard of the rest.

  11. I love nearly all of thise!!

  12. Rissi JC says

I almost included Guernsey on my list and should have Narnia. Neither one fall into my typical genres, but I did thoroughly enjoy them. 🙂

  13. Oh gosh, YES to Guernsey! That’s one of my favourite books and movies. I love it so much. Definitely fits the bill.

  14. Ah, yes, I get such comfort from A Wrinkle in Time!

  15. The Oz stories are so wonderful and eclectic ?

  16. Argh.. I still have a hard time to finishing Tolkien’s work ? Maybe I should try to read again from the beginning

    • I don’t want to give you unsolicited advice or anything, but I have found it a lot easier to “reread” Tolkien’s work if I listen to it in audiobook form instead.

I hope you enjoy Tolkien if you decide to give him another try!

  17. Brilliant list. Except for #s 6 and 10, I have read all of those (and 6 is on my TBR pile). Good choices.

Thanks for visiting my TTT this week which is a little different.

  18. Oh yes, completely agree about the Narnia books. I’ve re-read those so many times over the years. 🙂

  19. These are amazing picks! I fully agree, particularly with Guernsey, Hobbit, Bridget Jones and All Creatures Great and Small (I’m always thrilled to find someone who has read these!).
