Christmas Music

Christmas is my favorite time of the year. The twinkling lights and beautiful décor makes your heart feel a little lighter. It’s the time of the year that we can enjoy our family and friends, bringing back memories of yesteryear. Christmas music helps us with those memories.

I love, love, love music. I listen to different kinds of music depending on what I’m doing. Christmas is very special because it sets the mood for most of your holiday activity. If your family is anything like mine, we have Christmas music playing all the time especially while we’re in the kitchen preparing the meals. Imagine listening to Nat King Cole’s “The Christmas Song” while you’re whipping up that homemade chocolate cake your great-grandma Ruth used to bake when you were a child.

While you’re Christmas shopping, you hear “Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer” floating through the air as you are buying all those gifts that you didn’t intend to buy. LOL Yes, it’s happened to me a time or too as well. Or when The Jackson Five sings “I saw Mommy kissing Santa Claus” while you and your mate snuggle together as you watch your children tear open their presents that you left under the tree.

My favorite Christmas songs are:

Santa Claus is coming to Town – The Jackson 5
I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus – The Jackson 5
Santa Claus Go Straight to the Ghetto – James Brown
Gee Whiz its Christmas – Carla Thomas
Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas – Luther Vandross
This Christmas – Donny Hathaway
Let It snow – Boys II Men
Give Love on Christmas Day – Johnny Gill
Happy Holidays to You – The Whispers
The Christmas Song – Nat King Cole
Every Year at Christmas Time – Luther Vandross
Silent Night – The Temptations
Mary Did You Know – CeeLo
Now Behold the Lamb – Kirk Franklin and the Family

In my book THE CHRISTMAS PROMISE, Jennifer McClendon and her family always have a big Christmas Eve celebration. This year, it’s even more special to Jennifer because her life changed forever when she met Simeon Baker while on vacation. She also gets the surprise of her life at the party. Please pick up the book and meet the McClendon’s. Their family is just like yours and mine because they support, encourage and love on each other. But they also disagree, but in the end, they only want what’s best for each other.

Happy Holidays to you and yours from me and the McClendon’s.

The McClendon Holiday Series, Book 2

Blindsided…

Jennifer McClendon’s world has been turned upside down—twice. First by her unfaithful boyfriend, then by the handsome software engineer she meets while vacationing on a sun-drenched tropical island.

After a passionate night of lovemaking, he extracts a promise from her to keep in touch. But when her post-vacation emails and calls go unanswered, she resolves to pick up the pieces and get on with her life.

Unexpected gifts…

Simeon Baker meant to make good on his promise to reconnect with the sultry, quick-witted hairstylist. Two years after a tragic car accident landed him in the hospital for several months, he’s resigned himself to never hearing from her again.

Until a chance encounter offers him a second opportunity to make this a Christmas to remember—for Jennifer, and the something extra she took home from that fateful trip.

If she’ll trust him enough to say yes…

About the Author: At an early age, Sean found that she loved words and tried to read everything she could get her hands on. She joined her first book club “Sweet Pickles” at the age of 7. Writing would come later, when she wrote short stories for her own enjoyment, then she wrote the Easter play for the youth at her church at the age of 12.

Sean, a graphic/web designer loves building websites and graphics almost as much as she loves writing her stories. She loves working in her church and lives in Northwest Indiana with her family.
