Why did you become a reviewer?

At a convention an author I met suggested that I give reviewing a go since I read so many books. I started on some of my social media sites and I have loved it ever since.

What are your favorites genres to read in and why?

Contemporary Romance and romantic comedy. I’m obsessed with cheesy chick lit and I love happy endings.

What book in your youth made a big impression on you and why?

I wasn’t much of a reader when I was little, so when I found I books I liked it was a big deal back then (now not so much since I read everything under the sun) The books that made a big impression on me and still do today would have to be Sadako and the Thousand Paper Canes by Eleanor Coerr, Max Remy: Super-spy series by Deborah Abela, Mao’s Last Dancer by Li Cunxin and the Harry Potter series by J.K Rowling

Do you have any “bad book habits”? Dog Ear? Reading in the tub or while eating? Breaking the spine?

I can not stand when people dog tag their books or anything like that but I did use to read in the tub until I ruined my brother’s book…oops

What is one thing we would be most surprised to learn about you?

I have OSD when it comes to reading books. In the first sitting I have to read 100 pages and I can only stop on even number of chapters – never in the middle of one.

What books have most influenced your life? Why?

Harry Potter is the series that got me into reading so I’m always going to be thankful to Ms. Rowling for that.

What would you choose as a superpower? why?

The ability to go without sleep so I could read more.

What book do you think should be made into a movie?

I would love it if the Temptation series by Karen Ann Hopkins got turned into a movie. Switched, my favourite series by Amanda Hocking should defiantly become a movie and they should make the rest of the Vampire Academy series into movies.

Describe your perfect reading space.

I can read anywhere. I read on trains, at the park, at home, at work….literally everywhere.

If you could spend a day with anyone from history, dead or alive, who would it be, and what would you do? What would you ask them?

I would want to spend the day with William Shakespeare. Every since I went to Stafford upon Avon earlier this year I have wanted to know more about his life and inspiration for some of his plays. We would go to the ‘new’ Globe Theatre to see one of Shakespeare’s plays with him and ask him if its what he envisioned when he wrote it.

What were your top ten books you reviewed for LASR in 2014?

I started reviewing in October this year and have only reviewed 4 books. But my favourite so far would have to be My Last Season with You by S.V.C. Ricketts, which is scheduled for next week.
